Liverpool will face Wolves without Trent Alexander-Arnold but will await reports on Alexis MacAllister, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz following their late returns from international duty.
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they visit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves’ Midlands rivals Aston Villa last tasted defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp as the Reds cruised to victory before the international break.

Liverpool seem to have come back unscathed. On signing day, Ryan Gravenberch opted not to join up with his Netherlands Under-21 teammates to focus on a move to Merseyside. Klopp revealed in his press conference that the former Bayern Munich midfielder continued to adapt to the new environment during international matches in September.

The German boss could be in for a bit of a headache after the South American side only returned to training less than 24 hours before kick-off at Molineux. Alexis MacAllister played 85 minutes against Bolivia alongside Uruguay manager Marcelo Bielsa. He revealed that Darwin Nunez had a muscle problem that kept him out at half-time in the loss to Ecuador.

The former Benfica striker was one of Liverpool’s late returners but the Reds manager played down fears of a muscle problem.
Klopp revealed that Ibrahima Konate has returned to training after the previous two Reds were sidelined with muscle injuries. However, Liverpool suffered further problems last week when Virgil van Dijk’s match was restarted after he was charged with misconduct following his red card against Newcastle United.

They will be without vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold for the trip to Wolves with a hamstring injury.

“He is not available,” Klopp said. “We knew that before. He didn’t train with the team. It’s not the worst hamstring injury, but it’s a hamstring injury. We hope he can start because he’s already running, ball work early next week.”

While Thiago Alcantara is back in the running but remains sidelined with Conor Bradley for three months after breaking his back.
