One summer signing from West Ham has now been named in the Team of the Week after his impressive performances on international duty.

A number of West Ham players have been around the world on international duty and some very good performances would have impressed David Moyes.
The Hammers look set to continue their good form which has seen the club win three and draw one of their first four games of the Premier League season.

This was demonstrated by the naming of Greece’s Konstantinos Mavropanos in the Team of the Week after his outstanding performance on international duty.

The centre-back signed for West Ham in this summer’s transfer window for around £20m. He had played once before in the Premier League with Arsenal, but after a lackluster season at the north London club, he began to impress in Germany.

His performances during the international break saw SofaScore rate him nine and put him in their team of the week.

This allowed him to impress at West Ham and add much-needed quality and depth to the club’s defence.
Mavropanos played in Greece’s European Championship qualifier against Gibraltar.

The game was easy for the player and his teammates when they won 5-0. Luton Town – West Ham UnitedD Despite being a defender, the 25-year-old was also forward and scored two goals and kept a clean sheet as a result.

That’s the kind of performance David Moyes likes to see from one of his new signings. Having only recently joined the club, the centre-back has yet to play.
