Liverpool remain unbeaten after a 3-1 win
WHAT HAPPENED? Mohamed Salah broke the record for most assists by an African player in the Premier League.
He provided two assists for Liverpool against Wolves, surpassing the record previously held by Riyad Mahrez
All but one of Salah’s assists have been for Liverpool, with the only remaining assist coming during his time at Chelsea. Mahrez, on the other hand, made his records at Leicester City and Manchester City. WHAT THEY SAID?: His team-mate Andy Robertson, who benefited from his assists today, spoke of Salah’s quality beyond his goals:
“He probably only gets credit when he gets goals now, which is probably a bit unfair.”

Salah is also now the first Liverpool player in Premier League history to score in five consecutive away games, as well as the fourth Premier League player to assist in five consecutive games.
