Mohamed Salah became only the eighth player in Premier League history to score 200 goals for one club when he added three more assists in a 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday.

Only Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who has scored or assisted in all five of the Reds’ games so far in 2023/24, has reached the 200 club less often than Liverpool’s 11. It took the French forward just 206 games to reach 200 goals and assists, compared to Salah’s 223.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s “King of Egypt” became just four different players to score in five consecutive Premier League away games after Muzzy Izzet, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Deulofeu.
He said: “So he wins another [Premier League title], you know what that means? He won another. It doesn’t add much to the rest. He did everything he could at Liverpool.”

But Antonio’s argument is debatable. As well as more silverware for Liverpool, Salah is a known record contender.
Klopp recently said of his number 11: “He knows numbers, he knows everything. He knows before any of us that there is a plate around the corner for him to grab. He doesn’t need help there.”

While that may be out of reach (unless Salah scores goals in his 40s), Liverpool still have plenty of goals to achieve.
Here are ten records and achievements that are still on the table for Salah before he leaves Anfield.

The best goalscorer of all time in the Premier League
Salah is currently the 14th top scorer of all time in the Premier League (141 goals). He needs just nine more to tie with Michael Owen and earn a place in the top 10 of the division’s all-time great strikers. Surely only a major injury will stop it now.

The Premier League’s best foreign player
The Premier League’s current top non-English goalscorer is Sergio Aguero with 184, meaning Salah needs 44 to become the record holder for the most foreign-born goalscorers in English Premier League history.

Moreover, Aguero is also currently fifth in the Premier League’s top goalscorers, meaning Salah would earn the coveted top five spot by surpassing the Argentine’s goals.
Achievable, but depends on if and when Salah decides to go to the Saudi Pro

Salah has scored 20 Premier League goals in four different seasons, bettered by only four men – Henry (five), Harry Kane (five), Sergio Aguero (six) and Alan Shearer (seven). Despite his remarkable consistency, Liverpool’s number 11 should extend his contract to match (not to mention beat) Shearer.
Likelihood rating: 1/10

Most Golden Boots in the Premier League
Salah has three Premier League Golden Boot awards (two shared) with outstanding campaigns in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2021/22. He has the same number as Shearer and Kane. However, Henry currently holds the honor for the most Golden Boots in league history with four.
It will take another season for Salah to catch up. Likely rating: 5/10

Most Premier League hat-tricks for Liverpool
Salah has four Premier League hat-tricks so far – against Watford, Bournemouth, Leeds United and Manchester United.
The impressive total is still just short of Robbie Fowler’s club record of nine. Aguero has the most in the Premier League with 12.
Likelihood rating: 2/10

The best assist of all time in the Premier League
Of course, Salah not only excels in goals, but he has also proven himself to be a master creator.

The Liverpool striker is 19th on the Premier League’s all-time assists list with 63. David Beckham is the man to put aside to make the top ten. The Manchester United legend scored a total of 80 points, leaving Salah with 17 points.
Likely rating: 5/10

Most assists in the Premier League
Salah started the 2023/24 campaign with an impressive four assists in five games, including a hat-trick of clearances against Wolves.

If he keeps up this pace, he could challenge Kevin de Bruyne’s record for most assists in a single campaign. The Manchester City superstar scored 20 in the 2019/20 campaign, the same as Henry in 2002/03. Likely rating: 3/10

Most Liverpool goals in one season
To date, no player has surpassed Ian Rush’s 47 goals in 1983/84, when Liverpool won the league title, League Cup and European Cup.

Salah achieved in 2017/18. 44 in his debut campaign for the Reds in 2011. Since then, he’s never scored more than 31 points in any contest, but you’d never know it.
Likelihood rating: 2/10

Most goals for Liverpool in a calendar year
Another Rush record. The prolific Welsh striker hit 44 in 1986, a record never surpassed by a Liverpool player. Salah’s best goals to date (unsurprisingly) came in 2018 (37).
Likelihood rating: 2/10

Liverpool’s top three goalscorers of all time
Salah recently became the Reds’ fifth all-time top scorer, overtaking Steven Gerrard (187 goals).

While Rush’s first-place total of 346 would require roughly seven more seasons for Sala to reach 20 goals, cracking the top three is more realistic.

Gordon Hodgson is third in the Liverpool table with 241 points, 52 ahead of Salah.
If he extends his contract in 2025, he should. If.
