Liverpool have one of the most physically imposing teams in the Premier League.

The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch are indeed men in their own right, but according to Alexis MacAllister, Liverpool’s two strongest players may not be what is expected of them.

Speaking to Goal on TikTok, the Argentine was asked who Liverpool’s strongest player is and he joked between Mohamed Salah and Kostas Tsimikas.
Salah is, of course, incredibly strong, but Tsimikas has a surprising answer to that, as the Greek defender is not necessarily the most uncomfortable figure in the team.

Salah and Tsimikas the strongest
Mac Allister spoke about Tsimikas and the £35m winger. “Who is Liverpool’s strongest player?” Mac Allister was asked.

“I’d say Mo or Tsimikas,” replied MacAllister.
“Mo Salah, the strongest?” asked the interviewer.
“Yeah. He’s in the gym all day so he’s very strong,” Mac Allister concluded. Liverpool FC – Aston Villa – Premier League.

A little surprising
It’s no surprise to hear that Salah might be Liverpool’s strongest player, but Tsimika isn’t the name we expected to hear here.

The Greek is many things, but one of Liverpool’s strongest players is not what we would describe him as.

Of course, Mac Allister would know better than us because he trains with these players every day, but Tsimika’s strength doesn’t really stand out to us when we see him play.
