Jurgen Klopp will launch a massive campaign to return to Europe’s second-tier competition if he is to secure Anfield’s first trophy.
On the transfer front, Liverpool are said to be in “advanced negotiations” for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie. The Ecuador International was a player linked to Kloppi’s pool during the summer window,

It will be anything but an afternoon for Liverpool in their Premier League clash with West Ham United following their return from Austria.
That was until striker Michail Antonio took aim at Jürgen Klopp’s pre-match team talk, making some wild claims on the footballer’s football podcast.

Speaking on Monday’s episode, Antonio insisted the Hammers will finish above Liverpool in the Premier League this season and revealed he received considerable encouragement from the Reds’ weekend performance against Wolves. I support myself in Liverpool. You know what, I think we are better than Liverpool this season. I’ll put it there.

I watched the game [Wolves v Liverpool] because it was before our game and Wolves could have got away with it! They had several options. We have them this weekend and that’s six points. We have them!

Stick it on the locker room wall, Jürgen!

As the September 7 deadline passed, there must have been a collective sigh of relief among many clubs, Liverpool.
The Reds, who were prepared to sell Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ittihad for a combined £52m, had to reject a late bid for talisman Mohamed Salah, with owners Fenway Sports Group rejecting a £150m bid for Ali Ali. -Hello in the final transfer window of Saudi Arabia after a week, which ended a week after the rest of Europe.

Salah stayed despite concerns that another giant bid could arise if he dies, which would have been too big for the Reds to say no to a player who has two years on his contract and is 31 years old.

Liverpool’s chances of getting back into the lucrative Champions League next season have greatly improved with Salah in the side, while not being able to replace such an important player meant the club would not consider it.

Of course, there would have been a point when Liverpool simply had to say yes from a commercial point of view, but such a decision should never have been made after an initial offer of £150 million, which was supposed to consist of £. With 100 million guaranteed and the rest on multiple powers, FSG president Mike Gordon turned down the call. Making the decision might be easier than it seems.

And breathe. Julian Nagelsmann looks set to be appointed as Germany manager for next summer’s European Championship following the sacking of Hans Flick.

During the international break in Germany last week, there was speculation that Jurgen Klopp’s name had been linked with the open position. However, Liverpool manager Marc Kosicke’s agent quickly put an end to such talk, saying: “Jurgen has a long-term contract with LFC and is not available to coach the team.”

Still enjoying Saturday’s win and Molineux and can’t wait for the next Liverpool fixture? Well, don’t worry.
Liverpool Under-21s are in EFL Trophy action tonight when they visit League Two outfit Morecambe.

Although the young Reds are yet to win a game in the competition since their first appearance in 2019, it has provided a platform for the likes of Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak and Bobby Clarke to test themselves against high-profile opposition.

It will be interesting to see which Liverpool squad tonight at the Manzuma Stadium with Ben Doak, Bobby Clarke and Jarell Quansah expected to be part of the squad that flies to Austria tomorrow afternoon.
Speaking to Liverpool.com earlier this week, Under-21 manager Barry Lewtas praised the competition and how it has benefited his side.

It obviously gives us an extra dimension to our game program. It gives us a chance to play in a decent competition with high opposition, so for us it gives our guys a chance to prepare for the next step. Over the last couple of years we’ve loaned a lot of boys into the EFL and obviously given them the knowledge of that level, so this competition is the start of their journey for some of the boys.

So the European competition returns this week, and Liverpool begin their journey at Lask Linz in Austria.

Certainly, Liverpool will show a relatively strong team compared to the level of their counterparts in this first match against the Austrian Bundesliga.
