A 23-man Liverpool squad has been confirmed for Doak to travel but not for Trent vs LASK

Liverpool have confirmed their 23-man squad for the trip to Austria with Ben Doak as Trent Alexander-Arnold remains on Merseyside.

The 24-year-old is suffering from a hamstring injury which kept him out of international duty against England and missed the 3-1 win over Wolves and training on Wednesday.

His plan seems to be to continue his recovery process at the AXA Training Center to return against West Ham at Anfield this Sunday.
The Reds open their Europa League campaign at LASK, the club’s first game since losing to Sevilla in the 2016 final.

They will do so without their new vice-captain, but 17-year-old Ben Doak traveled with the squad for their European opener. The youngster is expected to play a role as the Reds begin their European campaign, with Klopp’s squad selection confirming his words that the squad will not be “experimental” on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the wait for Thiago’s return continues as the Spaniard is out of the squad for the match as he continues his rehabilitation following hip surgery earlier this year.

Jurgen Klopp revealed the midfielder has been “running” in training as he looks ahead to the Wolves game, but gave no other timetable.

There were no surprises in the club’s confirmed line-up as the traveling group included Mohamed Salah – who will no doubt play his part.

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Kelleher, Jaros
Defenders: Van Dijk, Gomez, Konate, Matip, Quansah, Robertson, Tsimikas

Midfielders: Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Endo, Gravenberch, Bajcetic, Jones, Elliott
