In the past, the top European teams in the FIFAâ„¢ Women’s World Cup have qualified directly for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

However, in this edition, the qualifiers will take place through the UEFA Women’s Nations League. Sixteen teams, divided into four groups of four in the A-League, will compete in September, October and December 2023.
