Young goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek was spotted at Liverpool training ahead of the start of their Europa League campaign tonight.
In a video shared by the Mirror on YouTube, Jürgen Klopp’s team prepares to face the Austrian LASK Linz.
Many Liverpool fans would have tuned in last night to see their Premier League rivals take part in the Champions League.
They missed out on qualification after a stuttering campaign last year, although Manchester United’s 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich may have offered some consolation.
Instead, Jürgen Klopp is preparing for the Europa League campaign, where his team should go into the competition as one of the favourites. This should also give him the opportunity to change teams during the season.
His squad should have more than enough quality to avoid playing their biggest stars in midweek at the start of the campaign.
One youngster hoping to catch the attention of the Liverpool manager in training is Fabian Mrozek.
The 19-year-old is a member of the Polish youth national team and currently wears the number 93.
He probably won’t play tonight, but hopes to earn a spot on the bench. Mrozek was spotted at Liverpool first team training
In a video shared by the Mirror, Klopp put together his first team before heading into training.
Along with Liverpool’s biggest stars, Mrozek can be seen above the likes of Harvey Elliott and Andy Robertson.
Mrozek currently shares Liverpool Under-21 goalkeeper duties with Marcelo Pitalu.
The young Brazilian also trained with his parents and impressed the likes of Mohamed Salah with his saves.
Mrozek may have been invited to Liverpool’s first-team training, but the young Pole’s best route to senior football may be a loan move. PItaluga went to non-league Macclesfield last season and really benefited from the move.
With Caoimhin Kelleher starting tonight and already an Ireland international, Mrozek knows that earning minutes elsewhere may be the best route.
