Robbie Savage predicts Liverpool vs West Ham and shares sad confession

Robbie Savage predicts West Ham United vs Liverpool, shares ‘sad’ admission

Robbie Savage has predicted that Liverpool will beat West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday (September 24).

Speaking to Football365 on Thursday (September 21), the pundit said the Reds are in “good form” and the strength of the Hammers’ squad will be “tested” after playing in the Europa League.

Although the Merseysiders also played on Thursday, he believes the Irons’ “nervous record” at Anfield will continue as the hosts ran out 2-0 winners.

“I think Liverpool are in good shape,” Savage said. “I think only Liverpool and Arsenal can challenge Manchester City for the title this season. In the middle of the week in Europe, another game West Ham, again the strength of the team will be tested.

– Liverpool are also playing [in Europe], but I will win this game with Liverpool and continue West Ham’s sad record at Anfield. I’ll beat Liverpool 2-0.”

Chance

There’s no denying West Ham’s record at Anfield is pretty shocking, but it’s a chance to go there and prove they’re a different team after a strong start to the campaign.

There is certainly no shortage of confidence, with Michail Antonio making headlines earlier this week when he said the Hammers would finish above Liverpool this season.

Speaking on Footballer’s Football Podcast on Monday (September 18), the Jamaica international said: ‘I support Liverpool. You know what, I think we are better than Liverpool this season. I’ll put it there.”

However, this prediction seems unlikely as it has only happened twice in Premier League history, with the east Londoners only finishing above the Merseysiders in 1998/99 and 2015/16.

The 33-year-old striker and his team-mates may go out this weekend to try and back up their claims, but there is no doubt that they will have to be at their best to get a result.
