Michail Antonio made two big predictions for Liverpool’s Premier League clash last weekend

Michail Antonio has decided not to take part in the weekly football podcast with Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson after seeing his double Liverpool prediction backfire.

Antonio sent social media into a frenzy last week after bravely backing West Ham United to victory at Anfield before insisting the Hammers finish above the Reds again this season.

Naturally, David Moyes’ side lost 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, during which Antonio was kept scoreless and substituted after the last 15 minutes of the game.
Many Liverpool fans were quick to laugh at the Jamaican international after his pre-match comments received a terrible reaction, although the 33-year-old declined the opportunity to respond to his remarks.

Antonio does not appear on Footballer’s Football Podcast, where Wilson also appears once a week. Launching the podcast, Wilson began, “Has she run away from the show since the accident?” Joking with host Rickie Haywood-Williams, the pair laughed as they listened to Antonio Liverpool’s views.

“Wow, I think that says it all,” Wilson said after listening to the audio. The Newcastle star continued: “He came up with a very boring prediction and for me, I’m not a Liverpool fan, but I got a lot of messages from people who support Liverpool. [Adebayo] Akinfenwa even put his Instagram post. and sent some pictures of he.

– For me, Mikhail is Mikhail and he is not here to protect himself, which is difficult. If you make a statement like that… If he had said that and they had beaten Liverpool, Michail would be sitting here tonight anyway. The fact that he made that prediction disappeared and he had no goals, no assists, no shots, no aerial battles won; he lost the ball 10 times and played 74 minutes before being hauled off. If it were me, I wouldn’t show my face either!”

Presenter Haywood-Williams then suggested his absence could be linked to the striker’s inclusion in West Ham’s squad ahead of their Carabao Cup clash at Lincoln City tonight. Dismissing the idea, Wilson added: “He would call from his team hotel [if he was right], that’s a fact.”
