The early kickoff between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon has now been predicted by Jamie Carragher.

Carragher gave a preview of the game on the An Echo To Glory Podcast.

Both Ange Postecoglou and Jurgen Klopp are desperate to win in the Premier League.

Liverpool’s strong start has faded somewhat, with the opening day draw at Chelsea the only game in which they dropped points.

Given their chances in this game and how poor Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been since then, they may feel they have to draw with Manchester City at the top of the table.

Tottenham also dropped points on the opening day, but then won four games from the bounce before drawing with Arsenal.

Spurs have been widely praised for their start under Ange Postecoglou, who has made the team play very well.

Jamie Carragher has now made a prediction about Liverpool’s visit to Tottenham.

He sure hopes it will be an exciting affair!

Carragher predicts Tottenham and Liverpool

Asked for a prediction on the outcome of this weekend’s game, Carragher said: “I’ll go 2-2, there will definitely be goals.

“I just don’t see any side keeping clean sheets. I think Liverpool have too much firepower not to do at least one. “And I still think if you look at the West Ham game last weekend, we still gave away a few chances.”

As Carragher suggests, Tottenham and Liverpool should score goals this weekend.

Postecoglou made Spurs play on the front foot and commit to attack.

Both Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro drift into midfield or overlap with their full-backs to break through opposition defences.

While the speed of Micky Van de Ven’s recovery is very impressive, it leaves Spurs behind.

That’s exactly what you don’t want to do against a Liverpool team that can turn defense into attack with a few passes.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is dying to exploit the space left by Tottenham’s defenders when given the chance.

It should be an intriguing matchup between two of the league’s most exciting teams.
