Liverpool drew 2-2 with Brighton in their last Premier League match

Micah Richards believes Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross sho uld have been sent off for a foul on Dominik Szoboszlai in today’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Gross converted a penalty in the first half when he pulled back the Hungarian in the penalty area, preventing his shot from going past Test keeper Bart Verbruggen.

Liverpool will certainly be hurt by this decision after the incident, which will only add to the frustration that continues after the disallowed goal of Luis Diaz in last weekend’s defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

Considering the match referees were wrong not to send Gross off, Richards told Sky Sports after the full-time whistle: “I think legally, yes [it’s a red card]. It’s a clear and obvious goal-scoring opportunity and he should have been sent off. What more proof do you need? If you watch, he just slides it into the net!”

Liverpool realized the penalty given by the German. Mohamed Salah put the Reds 2-1 up at half-time, although Jurgen Klopp’s men could not hold on for all three points thanks to Lewis’ goal. Dunk in the 78th minute of the match.
