Time can heal all wounds, but the Dallas Cowboys can’t get over their loss to the San Francisco 49ers. CeeDee Lamb confirmed the Cowboys rumors about her frustration, but also took the blame for how she handled the accident.
Dak Prescott has since spoken to Lamb and asked the star quarterback to go directly to him with his complaint. The Dallas outfielder also spoke directly about Lamb’s frustrations that his role as an outfit leader can rub off on other players. “A whispered player/person who feels like we could all do better and feels like he can change the game, I get it. Really,” Prescott explained during an Oct. 13, 2023 media conference. “I really do . So it just means communicating with him. Asking him the ways he thinks [we can improve] and the goals, I think he can achieve more of that [and] where we can achieve [those goals]. “CeeDee is a guy I’ll never lose faith in and who he is, and like I said, I understand why he’s disappointed. But at the end of the day, he’s a leader. It’s about him leading other guys and choosing to challenge others. boys and he tries to make sure we all do our best.
“And there’s frustration, we have to take it out. And he does. He is a young player who is growing every day and will only get better. He is better for it. Sad times.”
CeeDee Lamb on Dak Prescott’s advice: “If you have a problem with something, just come to me.”
The Cowboys receiver admitted, “I wasn’t at my best” when dealing with his frustration. Lamb reflected on his conversation with Prescott, and specifically the quarterback’s desire to communicate.
“I told him [Prescott] straight up and he came to me and said, ‘If you have a problem, come to me and we’ll talk about it.’ I don’t really care how it looks in the eyes of the media, do I,” Lamb told reporters on Oct. 13, reflecting on his conversations with Prescott.
“But the media is going to do what the media is going to do anyway. If I stand on my own, that’s a problem. If I go talk to him and wave a little bit, that’s a problem, right? At the end. of the day [it’s] just getting together it, all figure it out and that both parties are on the same page. And me and Dak did that the first day so we could be active all week.”

After the Cowboys’ Week 5 loss to the 49ers, 42-10, fan Bobby Belt described Lamb’s disappointment as “palpable.” Lamb had 5 carries for 49 yards and 4 catches in the punt loss.
“My biggest takeaway from this game is how disappointed CeeDee Lamb is right now and I don’t think anyone blames her for being disappointed,” Belt tweeted on Oct. 9. “Everyone hates to lose, but his displeasure with the team’s recent performance is palpable.”
