Liverpool will be hoping their players avoid further setbacks this week and following Andy Robertson’s injury strike in Scotland

The Reds’ left-back was forced off with a shoulder injury in the European Championship qualifier against Spain, leaving Jurgen Klopp anxiously awaiting his status.

Robertson is not expected to be available for next weekend’s Merseyside Derby, although he is not the only Liverpool absentee.

We’ve compiled a list of players currently on the treatment chart below.

Andy Robertson

As mentioned above, Robertson suffered a knock on the shoulder and can now be expected on the field. Former Liverpool manager and current Tartan Army boss Steve Clarke commented on the unfortunate incident after Scotland’s defeat to Spain: “Immediately the decision was taken to take him off, he’s coming back to his club, he.” is rated.

“Obviously he hurt his shoulder. We’ll see, obviously we’ll be back with him. It seems to happen whenever you lose a player in a position: we lose Kieran [Tierney] on the left and then Andy took the ball. shoulder injury.

“We will see how the situation is, we will see how the situation settles down and hopefully he will be good for his club as soon as possible and ready to help us in November.”

Cody Gakpo

The Dutchman, who scored for Liverpool in a game against Tottenham Hotspur due to a VAR dispute, left north London on his knees. But Klopp hopes Gakpo can be in the squad after the current international break.

“Cody, there’s a good chance,” said the Red Chief. “He’s already out of anxiety, he’s walking normally, so out of all the very, very bad and vulnerable possibilities, I think he’s pretty much gotten the best of him, but he’s still injured.”

Thiago Alcantara

Thiago Alcantara is now out for six months, has been out since April. The Spaniard, who underwent hip surgery at the end of last season, is yet to return to training after recently suffering another setback in his recovery.

Klopp said: “It’s just annoying, especially for [Thiago] himself. He has now suffered two setbacks in rehabilitation, not huge, but enough to keep him off the court. Obviously not the same injury, not at all, but somewhat similar.

“It’s as annoying as it was for Stefan Bajcetic, who was there, played a few minutes and then a few minutes and then felt something else. That’s how it is sometimes after long injuries.

“I don’t know and I won’t force it [their return] because I can’t anyway. If they come back after the international games, we will see. I hope it’s cool.”

Stefan Bajcetic

Bajcetic has been absent from Thiago’s position for a long time. The midfielder underwent fusion surgery in March before returning to first-team action in September for the Europa League clash with LASK Linz, followed by a fixture against Leicester City six days later.

Bajcetic became a bit of a problem after those two appearances, although he is unlikely to be ruled out for much longer.

Kelleher of Caoim

The Irish goalkeeper was due to start Liverpool’s home Europa League clash with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise but was only involved in a collision on the training ground which saw him claim 12 sticks. Kelleher is expected to be out for several weeks, hoping for regular minutes in the Cup.

Conor Bradley

The young right back has been rested after it was revealed that a stress fracture in his back has delayed the recovery. Bradley has yet to play a single competitive game for the Reds this season.

Providing an update on the 20-year-old ahead of the Reds’ trip to Brighton last weekend, Klopp noted: “Conor is back, he’s running, but at this age and with injuries like this you tend to give them three weeks more than enough because it’s about the growth process of the body and things like that. I didn’t get that injury again, let’s just say! And that’s why he needs some time.”
