Ex -Liverpool star Jurdan Henderson sends 21-word message after the ace was booed by England fans

Former Liverpool club captain Jordan Henderson was booed by some England supporters as the Three Lions beat Australia 1-0 at Wembley thanks to Ollie Watkins’ goal.

Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has broken his silence after some England fans enjoyed his move to Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq. Henderson, who captained England against Australia in Harry Kane’s absence, expressed his pride in his manager despite the country’s negative reception.

The Liverpool midfielder’s departure sparked controversy as he reunited with former team-mate Steven Gerrard at his new club. In an interview with The Athletic, Henderson spoke about the criticism he received, describing himself as “hurt”. Henderson’s move to Saudi Arabia sparked anger among Liverpool fans and LGBTQ groups, who previously considered him an ally. The midfielder’s first game under the arch at Wembley after talking about his move was applauded by the crowd.

However, Henderson remained defiant and took to social media to talk about the honor of representing his country and taking the team to Wembley. “It’s always an honor to represent your country, never take it for granted,” he wrote on Instagram. “(It’s) extra special to lead the team at Wembley.”

England manager Gareth Southgate has backed Henderson despite his move to a relatively unknown league. Speaking on talkSPORT, Southgate defended the midfielder and highlighted his exceptional contribution to the national team.

“He is a player who has won 79 caps for England. His commitment and what he has achieved for England is extraordinary,” Southgate said after the match. “His role in the team both on and off the pitch is phenomenal. He has taken Jude Bellingham under his wing and is a role model for the team with his professionalism and approach to every part of his job.”

Henderson’s journey since leaving Liverpool has received mixed reactions. Some fans criticized his decision, while others praised his contribution to the club during his time as captain.

Liverpool.com says: Henderson should not be surprised by how deeply he feels in certain parts of the football world. Those offended by his move to Saudi Arabia are entitled to their opinion. Buoys might be something he needs to get used to.
