Micah Parsons begs that the 49ers accept criticism following Cowboys defeats.

Parsons calls out on 49ers taking Vaker-level criticism after losses originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area.

While all NFL losses reflect the same in the rankings, the public reception they earn varies greatly depending on the team involved.

After a week in which the NFL’s only two undefeated teams each lost as heavy favorites, Cowboys cornerback Micah Parsons called out criticism from the 49ers and Eagles on his podcast for being as tough as Dallas has gotten this season.

“There’s a lot of abuse when it comes to Dak Prescott, but not the same when it comes to the Eagles,” Parsons stated on the “On The Edge With Micah Parsons” podcast. “I have time today, okay? A lot of people said Brown’s defense was overwhelming. Everyone said that Micah does not know the ball. I said the Browns are a real game and if they get it together they could be tough to beat. And now I can say, my guy that we miss a lot, Amari Cooper, did it. He could be dog of the week. What he did to help take over this team from the 49ers was amazing. That catch was amazing.”

Parsons then expressed his displeasure with the excuses made for San Francisco after they were hit by Cleveland’s injury, specifically referring to a quote from FS1’s Emmanuel Acho.

“I heard a quote from [Emmanuel] Acho that pissed me off,” Parsons said. “He said I’m not worried about the 49ers, they were missing Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel. They started the game. The Browns were missing Deshaun Watson. They were missing Nick Chubb. They were missing Jack Conklin. They were missing key factors before the game started. So why are we just scrubs and nobody who doesn’t deserve to be on the field and we just talk.

“But these other teams have 100 excuses. If you’re just going to hate the Cowboys, just say you hate the Cowboys. Don’t sit here and shade us. Keep the same energy for everyone. … I just want the same energy for everyone.”

Parsons’ comments come just a week after the Cowboys faced backlash after shellacking the 49ers 42-10 in Week 5. After dominating the national stage in San Francisco, Dallas beat the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6 and are now just a game away from both the 49ers and Eagles, and the NFC playoff race is heating up.
