Liverpool Matches: The Red Sand#039; next five games after Merseyside derby win – Anfield Watch

Liverpool can go into their next five games with confidence and in good form after winning the Merseyside Derby 2-0 to move up to third in the Premier League.

After collecting disappointing away trips to Tottenham and Brighton, it was vital for the Reds to bounce back straight after the international break, and who better to play than Everton to get back to winning ways?

It wasn’t the most spectacular game for either side, but Liverpool – and more specifically Mohamed Salah – won the game that ultimately matters.

However, a result only counts if good results follow, and with the club and next month’s fixtures looking promising to say the least, there are no excuses.

Here’s what Liverpool expect in their next five games.

LIVERPOOL VS TOULOUSE – EUROPEAN LEAGUE

After the match, the Reds will get a change of pace after the return of the Europa League.

Toulouse are currently 10th in France and Ligue 1 and last met in 2007 when Liverpool won 4-0.

Expect plenty of rotation and the chance for Jarell Quansah and Ben Doak (if fit) to strut their stuff again as Jurgen Klopp bids for three European wins.

LIVERPOOL VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST – PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool’s final Premier League game and #039 of October host Nottingham Forest, who are currently 15th in the table, just ten points behind former Reds youth boss Steve Cooper.

The Reds start November with a chance to reach the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with a trip to Bournemouth.

Liverpool were already 3-1 this season in August and Andoni Iraola’s side are on a torrid run until 2023/24. have not won in the Premier League so far.

Lifting a 10th League Cup may knownot be a priority for Klopp this season, but it is a welcome prospect if they stay in the last 16.

LUTON CITY VS LIVERPOOL – PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool’s first game and #039 in November will travel to the highly mythologized Kenilworth Road for the first time since 2008.

Luton have been fighting for promotion since their promotion to the Premier League, but are currently just five points clear of the relegation zone. The last time these two met in a league game was in 1992 when the Reds won 2-1.

TOULOUSE VS LIVERPOOL – EUROPEAN LEAGUE

Just three days later, the Reds play Toulouse and, if all goes to plan, they will qualify for the Europa League knockout stages with two games to play.

After beating the French team home and away, Kloppand#039; the team is guaranteed progression and can continue their trip to Dublin next May.

Therefore, it is more likely that Liverpool will field a strong XI and try to get the job done on the night, which would give the club and young talent plenty of opportunities for European minutes in the final two group games. .
