Thiago Alcantara
The Spaniard has not played for Liverpool since April when he underwent surgery on an ongoing hip problem.
He was due to return to training last month but has since suffered two setbacks in rehabilitation which have prevented him from making a proper return to grass. It remains to be seen when Thiago can finally return, as once he finally shakes off these setbacks, it will inevitably take time to build up fitness.
November or December seems most likely at the moment, but it’s very hard to say until we get another proper update from the boss.

Stefan Bajcetic
Bajcetic returned in September with two appearances, having previously been sidelined since March with a thigh problem which curtailed the academy graduate’s impressive 2022/23 campaign.
The Spaniard started the Europa League game against LASK and the subsequent Carabao Cup game against Leicester but has not played since sustaining what was described at the time as a minor calf problem.
The injury did not appear to be serious and Klopp is likely hoping to compete for a return soon. Possible return date: 1 November against Bournemouth
Ben Doak
Doak did not play for Scotland and the Under-21s against Everton during his absence after picking up a muscle injury.
It remains to be seen how long the 17-year-old will take.
Ben Doak from Scotland has some muscles and Klopp said on Friday. So we’ll have to see (how long he’s out), but he’s not available over the weekend.
In better news for Liverpool, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is back on the bench after suffering a knee injury that required 12 stitches at the weekend.
