BBC Sport columnist Chris Sutton has predicted that Liverpool will comfortably beat Nottingham Forest in their next match at Anfield on Sunday 29 October.

Jürgen Kloppand’s men have made a strong start to the 2023-24 Premier League season, moving up to fourth in the table with 20 points from nine games. They have lost just one game so far and are just three points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Steve Cooperand’s Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, have had a mixed start to their season, sitting 15th with 10 points. Despite a strong start to the campaign, they are winless in their last five games with four draws. Liverpool are confident of getting all three points. They are unbeaten in their last 24 home games against Nottingham, winning 19 and drawing five.

Sutton had a similar sentiment in his game preview. He wrote his prediction for the game (via BBC Sport):

andquot;the form of Nottingham Forestand#039; has clearly improved, but a trip to Anfield is quite a daunting task at the moment. Sophia and Hetty say 1-1 for that, but I bring my son Harry, who is a Liverpool fan, to play there.”

He added:

and quot;Harry says Mohamed Salah has scored in every home league game this season and Liverpool will not lose at Anfield. Good thing they won 3-0, and while I’m not convinced they’ll keep a clean sheet, I’ll go with that.andquot;

Sutton and#039; prediction: 3-0

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones reveals how a change in mindset allowed him to win his way back into the starting XI.

Liverpool star Curtis Jones recently revealed how a change in mindset helped him land a key role in Jurgen Kloppand#039’s midfield recently.

The 22-year-old recently captained the club for the first time against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup. But his Reds career was in doubt at the start of last season due to a series of injuries.

Fortunately, Jones was able to overcome the odds and regain his place in the starting lineup by the end of the season. He continued that campaign, making seven appearances in all competitions. In a recent pre-match press conference, Jones said (via Liverpooland#039’s official website):

“As an academy kid, I was always the kid who jumped up the age groups. Then I got into the first team and I felt like I hit a wall and I couldn’t really take the next step.andquot;

“So it was more just experiencing my game and seeing progress. I was always a kid who just wanted to score goals, get the ball and run. But at that point I learned, ‘Okay, there’s more tricks and the staff wants it.’ “;

He added:

– All the fans are now talking about how I go and press. I was never the kid who thought I was the first to push the hardest or try to run, so I built that into my game. I’m just trying to work on the whole package. I still have a lot to learn, but I’ll get there.”

Jones played a total of 104 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists.
