With a three-word tweet, Manchester United legend Gary Neville cruelly mocked Liverpool.
And many of the fans were left “waiting for Jamie Carragher to bite,” leaving them in stitches.
Over the years, Neville and his Sky Sports buddy have had a lot of funny exchanges.
The two frequently make light of one another; earlier this month, Liverpool legend Carragher made fun of Neville’s jacket selection.
However, on Thursday, the favorite of the Red Devils was able to exact revenge.
Neville responded angrily to a fan’s query on Twitter on the top midfield players in the Premier League.
“Best midfielder outside the ‘big 6’?” was the tweet they sent Neville.
The former England right-back then wonderfully ridiculed Liverpool with his response, in typical fashion.
Neville replied, “Mac Allister at Liverpool,” with an emoticon of a wink.
Other fans started laughing at this point, with many believing Neville had simply provided his response to tease Carragher.
“Waiting for the inevitable Carra bite,” one person commented.
Another said, “It’s Bruno Fernandes for me, even though I know it’s bait, but it still has to be posted.”
Neville hits a screaming from deep, one person said.
