We played a simulation of Sunday’s Premier League game between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest to predict the outcome.
Liverpool will be hoping to put pressure on the Premier League leaders when they take on Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Liverpool briefly moved to the top of the table last weekend with a 2-0 win over Merseyside side Everton. However, subsequent results meant Jurgen Klopp’s side go into the Anfield clash with Forest six points adrift of leaders Tottenham Hotspur. Steve Cooper’s side are currently in fifteenth place after five league games without a win (four draws). The last meeting of the teams took place in April. The Reds won 3-2 in front of their supporters thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.

To predict the result, we did a Liverpool vs. Simulation of Nottingham Forest
We used EA FC 24 to complete this simulation and updated the teams with the latest suspensions and injuries. The starting lineup we predict the Reds will use in a 4-3-3 formation: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
We project Forest with Turner, Aurier, Boly, Murillo and Toffo in a 4-3-3 formation. Sangare, Mangala and Dominguez; Gibbs-White, wood and Elanga.
At Anfield, Liverpool dominated the first few minutes of the game. Ryan Gravenberch, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah all missed big chances to take the lead. But the Reds did not back down and continued to score before half-time when they finally took the lead.
Dominik Szoboszlai ran into the area after catching the ball on the wing and passed it to the feet of Nunez. After receiving a counter pass from a teammate, Szoboszlai cleverly pushed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 1-0.
Forest barely had a chance in the second half as Liverpool dominated, but excellent saves from Matt Turner and some costly mistakes kept it 1-0 until the end.
