While everyone is raving about the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and Miami Dolphins, the Jacksonville Jaguars are sitting quietly at 6-2.

Furthermore, Doug Pederson’s side has won the majority of its games convincingly, so this does not appear to be a fluke.

When asked about their hot start, Pederson noted that the team had a difficult start to the season and it took them a while to get rolling, but he’s not shocked at this point in the season (via Michael DiRocco).

He claimed that his players were likewise confident in their capacity to pull off such a feat.

Before the season began, some experts named the Jaguars as one of the biggest dark horses to emerge from the AFC, and they’ve played up to those expectations thus far.

The Jaguars are the only club unbeaten on the road this season, having won four games.

They also won a home game in London, therefore they may be considered 5-0 away from home.

Their only losses were against a Chiefs club with their backs against the wall — and it was a close game — and then an upset loss to division rival Houston Texans.

The rest of the Jaguars’ schedule is fairly favorable.

Pederson’s club appears to be on track to repeat as division champions, and keep an eye on them in the postseason as well.
