Liverpool  Fixtures – 5 games in 13 days as Liverpool vs. West Ham date confirmed for Carabao Cup

Liverpool will play five games in 13 days around Christmas after winning the League Cup, with the date for the quarter-final match against West Ham now decided.

The Reds advanced to the League Cup quarter-finals with a 2-1 win against Bournemouth on Wednesday night, adding another encounter to the festive schedule.

In the subsequent draw, West Ham was drawn out of the hat, with Liverpool chosen as hosts.

That game will take place as planned on Wednesday, December 20, at 8 p.m. GMT, with Sky Sports providing live coverage.

It comes in the midst of home Premier League matches against Manchester United (Dec 17) and Arsenal (Dec 23), as well as a run of five games in 13 days.

After a four-day break following the trip to Crystal Palace on December 9, Jurgen Klopp’s team will face the following:

Union SG (A) – Europa League – Thursday, December 14

Man United (H) – Premier League – Sunday, December 17

West Ham (H) – League Cup – Wednesday, December 20

Arsenal (H) – Premier League – Saturday, December 23

Burnley (A) – Premier League – Tuesday, December 26

Following the Boxing Day trip to Burnley, there will be a five-day break before Liverpool hosts Newcastle at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

It appears that Klopp’s squad will be put to the test, and the hope is that they can retain fitness and form leading up to and throughout.

So far this season, the management has been able to cycle between twice-weekly Premier League, Europa League, and League Cup encounters with no variation in performance.

Injury prevention will be critical in the coming months, and the return of players like Ben Doak, Stefan Bajcetic, and Conor Bradley will definitely help.
