Cornerback Carlton Davis III returned to practice on Wednesday as the Bucs kicked off their practice week in anticipation of this weekend’s matchup with the 49ers.

Previously, Davis had skipped both the game and practice last week. It will be challenging to get back into the lineup against the 49ers, an opponent with whom he is still trying to recover after a challenging performance two weeks ago.

Davis’s return was welcome, but Tampa Bay was without several of its starters. Due to foot injuries, both right tackle Luke Goedeke and inside linebacker Devin White were sidelined.

Despite playing against the Titans on Sunday, White’s foot problem caused him to miss a play. Ryan Neal, the safety (thumb), was not as involved.

Due to a quad issue, wide receiver Mike Evans was limited in practice, but his availability for the game is not a concern.
