The 49ers’ PFF grades highlight their strongest plays from their convincing 31-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving night.

In the first half, quarterback Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense were limited to three first downs and 56 total yards by San Francisco’s defense. The Seahawks finished regulation with just 14 first downs and 220 net yards, 88 of which were on the ground and 132 of which were received.

Smith was pressured 25 times in all by the 49ers defense, and he only finished 18 of his 27 attempts for 180 yards. The quarterback’s net throwing yards were cut by more than 26% after he was sacked six times for 48 yards.

Despite not having the same flawless passer rating as he did in Week 11, Brock Purdy had a successful day aside from a pick-six at the start of the second half. With 21 of 30 passes completed, the 49ers’ quarterback gained 209 passing yards, one interception, and one score.

Concerning Purdy’s pick-six, Shanahan remarked, “They got us on the disguise.” They were dressing strangely, which led to our discovery. A double call was made. I was wrong to place that on him. Obviously, that wasn’t the cheque we had hoped for. They used a disguise to trick us. Eventually received that tip.

He is not at least disturbed by the awful play. returned and executed a brilliant play to secure it.

Here are more highlights from the 49ers’ Week 12 PFF grades:

OFFENSE

QB Brock Purdy – 75.8

In place of Spencer Burford, who was sidelined due to a knee injury, Jon Feliciano shifted to right guard, while Aaron Banks (toe) returned to the left side of the offensive line. Purdy was under pressure on 43.8 percent of his dropbacks with the new combo.

Purdy completed 7 of 9 ball attempts with play action for 103 yards, 1 touchdown, and a 151.4 passer rating. The quarterback completed 14 of 21 passes for 106 yards, one interception, and a 58.8 passer rating in the absence of play action.

Purdy still completed two of his five deep pass attempts of 20 yards or more downfield, while his output on deep passes decreased slightly from the team’s victory in Week 11. Out of 17 short passes of nine yards or fewer, the Iowa State product connected on 15, and on 4 of 6 intermediate throws ranging from 10 to 19 yards downfield.

RB Christian McCaffrey – 84.3

69 of McCaffrey’s 114 rushing yards came after contact, capping yet another outstanding showing from him. Of his nineteen carries, eight produced a first down or touchdown. Compared to other running backs in the league, he has 17 more first downs this season with 56.Brian Robinson, the ball carrier for the Washington Commanders, is next in line with 39.

WR Deebo Samuel – 78.3

Samuel was the team’s best target, hauling in seven of nine passes for 79 yards and scoring a touchdown on the ground on four attempts for 15 yards. The “wide-backs” outran all other receivers with 43 yards after contact.

WR Brandon Aiyuk – 67.3

On Thursday night, Aiyuk caught two of his four targets for fifty yards, demonstrating his lethality on the field. This season, 40 of Aiyuk’s 45 receptions have yielded a first down or touchdown (88.9%).

Offense line

LTTrent Williams: 86.5 pass blocking, 79.0 overall grade (one hurry)

LG Aaron Banks: 56.2 pass blocking, 52.7 overall grade (two hurries)

CJake Brendel: 52.8 pass blocking, 64.7 overall grade (one hit)

RG Jon Feliciano: 34.7 pass blocking, 44.4 overall grade (four hurries)

RTColton McKivitz: 3 rushes, 61.5 overall, 55.3 pass blocking

George Kittle was responsible for one of the 12 pressures allowed.

DEFENSE

CB Ambry Thomas – 90.2

The team’s highest grade was 90.5 for Thomas’ covering. The third-year defensive back notched an interception and recorded a pass breakup in addition to allowing just two catches on four targets for 16 yards.

CB Charvarius Ward – 74.2

Only Thomas had a higher coverage grade than Ward, at 77.1. The six-year veteran only gave up four receptions for 44 yards on 10 targets while also picking up three pass breakups. Against Metcalf, Ward gave up one reception for 14 yards on six targets.

LB Fred Warner – 88.5

Warner finished with the third-best defensive grade overall, recording two quarterback hurries on five blitzes. In addition, the All-Pro had six total tackles with no misses and was only ever set up for a seven-yard reception.

Defensive line

Nick Bosa – 89.7 overall, 86.7 pass rush (three sacks, two hits, four hurries and two run stops)

Javon Hargrave – 57.4 overall, 73.6 pass rush (two sacks, one hurry)

Arik Armstead  – 82.2 overall, 63.7 pass rush (two sacks, one hurry and two run stops)

Javon Kinlaw – 60.9 overall, 59.2 pass rush (one hit, one hurry)

Clelin Ferrell – 68.7 overal , 63.5 pas rush (two hurries)

Chase Young – 64.4 overall, 69.4 pass rush (one hurry)

Kevin Givens – 63.9 overall, 74.4 pass rush (one sack)

Randy Gregory – 66.3 overall, 62.3 pass rush (one hurry)

Of his dropbacks, 47.2 percent came with pressure applied to Smith. Smith had an 18.5 passer rating on throws of 10 yards or more downfield, and he only completed 3 of his 9 attempts for 61 yards. He also had one interception.
