After Kyle Shanahan’s challenge in the third quarter against Geno Smith’s Seahawks, Deebo Samuel and the 49ers have a lot to work on.

In the second half of their game against the Seattle Seahawks, it appeared as though the San Francisco 49ers were about to collapse. Kyle Shanahan was aware that the offense lead by Brock Purdy required some reinforcements, both in terms of schematics and confidence. Through 49ers on NBCS, Deebo Samuel revealed what helped them overcome the early deficit and outscore Geno Smith and his team.

“We experienced one of the worst third quarters of the entire year… Both we and they are dependent on each other. Thus, all things considered, I think we had a really nice game,” the 49ers wide receiver interpreted Kyle Shanahan’s challenge.

Brock Purdy led the offensive, while Deebo Samuel got things going. Samuel’s two-yard touchdown run to spark the first quarter’s scoring barrage. The second quarter would see Christian McCaffrey come off the field with fire. With two touchdowns, the 49ers system’s outstanding running back made the Seahawks pay dearly.

The narrative took a sharp turn after the half. From 12 yards out, Jordyn Brooks scored a pick-six. After that, Geno Smith would advance the ball so Jason Myers could attempt a field goal. Fortunately, these proved insufficient to overturn the significant lead established by the 49ers. With a score that put the final nail in the coffin of Seahawks fans, Brandon Aiyuk gave them the chance to send them packing.

After the half, the story took a drastic turn. Jordyn Brooks scored a pick-six from 12 yards out. Geno Smith would then move the ball forward so Jason Myers could try a field goal. Luckily, these turned out to be insufficient to reverse the 49ers’ substantial lead. Brandon Aiyuk gave them the opportunity to send the Seahawks packing with a score that put the icing on the coffin of their supporters.
