Olivia Dunne has been named a Sports Illustrated swimsuit rookie, following in the footsteps of Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Culpo.
The LSU gymnast appeared on the cover earlier this year following a shoot in Puerto Rico, and the 21-year-old was overjoyed to be able to return in 2024.
‘Coming back for Year 2, I mean, I stated last year it was a dream come true, and nothing has changed,’ she explained.
‘It’s still a dream come true,’ she says. I can’t believe I’m still a rookie. It’s surreal.’
She posted a video on Instagram as part of the big reveal from the new photoshoot, which she flew to Porto, Portugal, for on Tuesday.
‘Today we are in Porto, Portugal, shooting for the 60th anniversary of Sports Illustrated swim!’ adds the gymnast, who is dating top Major League Baseball prospect Paul Skenes.
Dunne also shared a photo from the shoot on her Instagram story, as well as a cake with the word ‘rookie’ written in the frosting to commemorate the news.
Culpo, who is engaged to San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffery, was named a rookie in 2018. Ratajkowski was named a rookie in 2014.
It is yet another significant milestone in Dunne’s frenetic year.
Due to her enormous popularity, she has had to permanently move to online classes at LSU.
