Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers got his first NFC Offensive Player of the Week title for the 2023 season after scoring three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Week 13, the 49ers were on a roll offensively, scoring touchdowns on six straight drives en route to a 42-19 victory over the NFC leaders. Samuel was the star of the night, hauling in four passes for 116 yards and two scores while also carrying three times for 22 yards and a touchdown.

The veteran wideout’s three touchdowns in Week 13 set a career best, and his two receiving touchdowns and one running touchdown make him only the fourth wide receiver since 2000 to have 100-plus receiving yards, two-or-more receiving touchdowns, and one-or-more rushing touchdowns in a single game.

Only Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chase Claypool in 2020, New England Patriots wide receiver David Patten in 2001, and Denver Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker in 2006 have accomplished this accomplishment.

Samuel has 38 receptions for 590 yards and three touchdowns during the first 13 weeks of the season, in addition to 29 carries for 160 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
