The San Francisco 49ers are ecstatic ahead of their game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. With a 10-3 record, the 49ers are now tied for first place in the National Football Conference with the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

The team’s quarterback, Brock Purdy, and Christian McCaffrey have both been argued for Most Valuable Player. Deebo Samuel, a receiver for San Francisco, took the time to examine Purdy’s deep passes and how they facilitate the receivers’ lives.

Newton shares ‘game manager’ label for Purdy

On Tuesday, December 12, the late great quarterback Cam Newton discussed Purdy and Tua Tagovailoa, two of the current NFL’s rising talents at the position.

Newton made the controversial claim that Brock Purdy is effectively a “game manager,” which hurt supporters’ sentiments toward X.

This season, McCaffrey has ran for about 1,200 yards, while Purdy has passed for over 3,500 yards to the 49ers. With the 49ers plodding through a difficult schedule that included a recent game in Philadelphia against the reigning NFC champs, Purdy has thrown for 25 touchdowns against just 7 interceptions.

In reaction to Newton’s remarks, a fan stated, “I think we can make this debate about whose a game manager and whose a game changer very simple.” “You are a game manager if, as a quarterback, you are not at the very least your offense’s second-best player. There is nothing wrong with that.

49ers on upset alert vs. Cardinals

Arizona’s victory against Pittsburgh last week, which they won 24–10, increased the 49ers’ upset alert for this coming Saturday.

Purdy sees this as another opportunity to disprove Newton and other skeptics and demonstrate unequivocally that he is capable of being a Pro Bowl-caliber, Super Bowl-winning center.
