The Baltimore Ravens are the underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. The Ravens aren’t the favorite for just the second time this season.

Some players on the squad didn’t appreciate that the 49ers are viewed as the team to beat, despite the fact that Baltimore leads the AFC with an 11-3 record.

According to Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton, “We feel a little disrespected by that,” ESPN reported. “I feel like we are the best team in the league, and we have an opportunity in front of the country to show it.”

Baltimore is a 5.5-point underdog going into that game in San Francisco, per ESPN Bet. In Week 2, the Ravens faced the Cincinnati Bengals and were not favored for the first game this season.

Regarding the spread size, cornerback Marlon Humphrey remarked, “[It] hurt my feelings a little bit.” “Seeing that astonished me. But I really want to change that to something else. And ideally some of the others who gamble with them lose some money and win some with us.”

In addition to taking home the AFC North, Baltimore hopes to qualify for the postseason far into this season by finishing as the top seed in the conference. And with a one-game advantage over the Miami Dolphins, the Ravens’ final stretch of the season is extremely important.

The Ravens must defeat San Francisco on Christmas Eve in order to fulfill the first of its objectives. Baltimore would win its first division championship in four years if they succeed in doing so. Should the Ravens lose, the Houston Texans will have to assist them. In the event that the Texans triumph over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the Ravens would also win the championship.

In fact, John Harbaugh, the head coach of Baltimore, is taking advantage of the fact that some of his players are upset that Las Vegas is questioning them. According to ESPN, Harbaugh grinned and admitted that the point “was mentioned, sure,” when speaking with his players.

QB Lamar Jackson is one athlete who isn’t concerned by Vegas’ odds. And it makes sense that Jackson isn’t worried about this given his past and Monday Night Football.

The underdog has won the last seven games, the greatest winning streak in MNF history, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Additionally, Jackson has emerged victorious from nine of his 13 games in which he started as the underdog.

“I hope they don’t choose us,” Jackson stated to reporters on Wednesday. Being the underdog appeals to me. I think we do better when people mistrust us and don’t pick us to win the game. We seem to be doing better every time, so keep going till February. All I ask is that.”
