After the Dallas Cowboys’ Sunday loss to the Buffalo Bills, some fans of the team lost their cool. Following the game, supporters on social media doxxed Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse and Juanyeh Thomas.
The Cowboys lost against the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, by a score of three touchdowns.
The Bills entered the game as the club with greater hunger, hoping to maintain their postseason dreams, and that is exactly how it ended up. The Cowboys fell behind 31-3 in the fourth quarter, but a late touchdown cut the score to a more manageable 31-10.
Following the loss, some Cowboys fans took exception at the two members of their secondary.
Kearse vented his annoyance on X following a penalty he was given against the Bills in the second quarter. As soon as Kearse attempted to tackle Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir, he was called for needless roughness.
The Bills led the Cowboys 21-3 at the half after a drive that was aided by the penalty and ended in a score for Buffalo.
Kearse was mocked by some fans on his own post on X. In an effort to support his teammate, Thomas also responded to the post. In response, a few fans erased their remarks, disclosing Kearse’s residential address and Thomas’ phone number.
Thomas said to Dallas Morning News reporter Calvin Watkins, “I can take criticism.” However, there is a real boundary that you cross when you begin acting foolishly in that way. You have to draw a boundary when it comes to disclosing personal information like phone numbers and addresses. It’s still a game at the end of the day. Individuals have lives.
Thomas acknowledged that during the game, he did miss three tackles. However, a few slip-ups on the football field shouldn’t have any negative real-world effects on any athlete.
