This week, the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers in a crucial Week 16 game.

Jacksonville was in danger of playing this game without their great quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, and it may have major postseason consequences for them.

This previous week, Lawrence had a concussion, and in the days preceding the game, he appeared dubious.

Thankfully for the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that he passed the concussion protocol on Saturday and was able to suit up against the Buccaneers.

Lawrence has been able to recover from a major injury without missing a game for the second time.

He was hurt in the ankle against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he was able to play against the Cleveland Browns after recovering.

But this time, Lawrence had a concussion, which is more difficult to recover from in less than a week due to the league’s stringent rules.

He went back to practice at the end of the week, but before the squad could take the interstate flight to Tampa, he needed a last-minute clearance by Saturday.

Lawrence’s presence is crucial for the Jaguars, who need to win to keep their lead in the AFC South.

They have tiebreakers over both the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts, despite being tied at 8-6 with both clubs.

With a 65.9 completion percentage, 251.8 passing yards per game, 18 touchdown passes, and 10 interceptions this season, Lawrence’s performance has been mixed

During the middle of the season, the Jaguars won seven out of eight games, but they have already dropped their last three games.

The team’s momentum heading into the postseason could be affected by this game, but at least Lawrence will be there.
