With a three-game losing streak, the Jacksonville Jaguars are desperate for a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. To exacerbate the situation, they might not have quarterback Trevor Lawrence available when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, Lawrence is categorized as questionable and, as Doug Pederson stated on Friday, he won’t suit tomorrow if he isn’t cleared from concussion protocol by Saturday afternoon when the team departs for Tampa. If Lawrence is unable to play, CJ Beathard would be the first to leave.

The quarterback sustained a concussion during the Jaguars’ 23-7 Sunday Night Football loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was limited in practice until Friday after missing the entire week. Jacksonville will exercise extreme caution with its franchise star because concussions are a serious matter.

Lawrence, who is completing 65.9% of his throws for 3,525 yards and 18 touchdowns against 10 interceptions, is enjoying a good season for the 8-6 Jaguars. In addition, he has four touchdowns and 4.8 yards per rush. Jacksonville, which now leads the AFC South, is very much in the running for the playoffs.

However, they are a different team without Lawrence in the lineup. Beathard doesn’t exactly have a lot of experience—he has only attempted 14 passes this year. It will be hoped that Lawrence can participate in Week 16.The Jaguars’ final-round schedule isn’t too tough; after visiting the Buccaneers, they play the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers. With Lawrence leading the way, Jacksonville should most certainly make it back to the postseason.
