Tyrel Dodson and Taylor Rapp of the Buffalo Bills fight and get fined after Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott takes cheap shots.

FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys didn’t play well enough in their loss to the Buffalo Bills last week to voice many complaints about two cheap hits that hurt Dak Prescott; some critics even think the Bills were intentionally targeting the quarterback and that the hits should have resulted in in-game ejections.

Rather, the dirty activities have resulted in fines from the NFL’s investigation of the plays, which in one case sparked an altercation on the field.

Tyrell Dodson was fined $11,167 by Buffalo for allowing helmet-to-helmet contact.

When Prescott was hit during a slide earlier in the game, Taylor Rapp of the Bills was called for the late hit. As a result, Cowboys offensive tackle Zack Martin defended his quarterback and received a flag for pushing the filthy defender following the play.

And Rapp on Saturday was fined $21,855.

The Bills were given needless roughness penalties as a result of both plays, but once more, Cowboys supporters question why they weren’t given an expulsion.

Ultimately, the NFL is attempting to maintain its status as the “policeman” on the situation by forcing the two offenders to sign checks and thus blowing off the chance that Prescott would be the target.

Of course, there is an obvious issue with the system: isn’t it worth $21,000 or $11,000 if a team can significantly impact a game by taking out a quality quarterback?
