The Dallas Cowboys have alternated between projecting as the NFL’s best team and a group of unimpressive also-rans. There is only one simple distinction between the two Cowboys teams: one plays on the road, while the other plays at home.

The club that plays at home is 7-0, and they have won six straight home games in blowout fashion. On the other hand, the traveling team is only 2–5.In Week 12, the Cowboys crushed the Carolina Panthers after rolling to a commanding victory on the road against the New York Giants in the season’s first game.

When they have played away from AT&T Stadium, they have fallen short against the Cardinals, 49ers, Eagles, Bills, and Dolphins. A number of those losses have been landslide victories, but in Week 16, they lost narrowly on the road to the Miami Dolphins, 22–20.

Head coach Mike McCarthy made an attempt to put on a brave face by asserting that his squad is capable of winning away from home and will demonstrate this throughout the postseason.

It is evident that traveling may be necessary to complete this task. I believe there are many lessons to be learned from this. We have to play better than we did today because we will be road warriors and you have to play above it when you’re on the road.

With 3:27 remaining in the fourth quarter, Dak Prescott connected with Brandin Cooks on an 8-yard touchdown pass play, giving the Cowboys a 20-19 lead after they had come back from a 19-10 deficit. But on the last play of the game, Jason Sanders’ game-winning 64-yard field goal sealed the victory for the Dolphins, headed by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa of Miami.
