Micah Parsons, a standout for the Cowboys, is not afraid to share his genuine emotions on social media. Thus, the Cowboys linebacker wasn’t going to hold back when Rob Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion, questioned Parsons’ critique of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

When Purdy threw four interceptions in the 49ers’ 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the top-seeded team in the AFC, on Christmas Day, Parsons added his voice to the clamor of condemnation.

Parsons took to Twitter, stating,

“There are no shots or development throws in Down 21! Should provide all the information you require!

Gronkowski wasn’t buying that line of reasoning, especially after seeing the Cowboys lose in Week 5 to the offensive prowess of the 49ers. The ex-Tight End for the NFL stated:

“The fact that he is publicly tweeting that is pretty strange. First of all, there’s a proverb that goes, “Winners focus on winning, losers focus on losers.” And you have to concentrate on winning if you want to be a winner. In this instance, though, it’s quite strange considering Micah Parsons is among the league’s top defensive players. This year, he could be the defensive player of the year. Furthermore, it’s a cooperative game. How good you are as a person is irrelevant,” he said to Kay Adams.

And it’s strange that he tweets about a team who completely destroyed the Cowboys [42-10 on October 8] when they played them this season, and then tweets about a club that lost to the Miami Dolphins. Thus, it seems strange to me that while he’s a fantastic player and is having a great season, you’re more concerned in the San Francisco 49ers,” Gronkowski continued.

Rob Gronkowski was taken aback by Micah Parsons’ disingenuous attack of Brock Purdy

Parsons replied to Gronkowski’s comment on the Up and Adams post on X while the former Patriots tight end was still live on the show with host Kay Adams.

After Parsons’ reply, Gronkowski continued to say that it was strange to bring up the 49ers’ most recent bad play in Week 16 when the Cowboys were dealing with their own issues. He answered,

“Wow, that was quick,” Gronkowski exclaimed. “I mean, I have to accept that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. With social media these days, everyone has their own channel, yet it still seems strange to me that you’re concerned about a different team, dude. You should only be concerned with what you can influence, not what the opposing team is up to.”
