This past week, tight end George Kittle joined teammates Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel to become the sixth team in NFL history to have four players surpass 1,000 yards from scrimmage.

However, they might get some visitors this week.Running back De’Von Achane of the Miami Dolphins is 64 yards away from becoming a member of the 1,000-yard club, along with Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, and Tyreek Hill. Miami has a passer with 4,000 yards, just like San Francisco.

Similarly, Detroit must allow rookie tight end Sam LaPorta to accumulate 136 yards in order for him to be added to the team.

The 2020 Carolina Panthers, who also included McCaffrey, were the last squad to achieve this accomplishment. Speaking of McCaffrey, there are other ways in which this season is distinct. McCaffrey is the first player in NFL history to have as many yards as the season, according to a tweet from Bryan Knowles of the FTN Network.

With a minor calf strain, McCaffrey will miss Week 18. He presently has 2,023 yards from scrimmage. Gerald Riggs and Earl Campbell, who were both off by one yard in 1985 and 1980, respectively, were the two guys who Knowles claimed were close.

At this point in his career, McCaffrey has surpassed 2,000 yards from scrimmage for the second time. Along with Marshall Faulk and Erik Dickerson, he is one of only three players to have played for two distinct organizations.
