The announcement on Thursday afternoon that star running back Dalvin Cook was signing a contract with the Baltimore Ravens infuriated a lot of Dallas Cowboys supporters. After Cook parted ways with the Jets after Week 17, the Cowboys and Ravens were mentioned as the two likely teams to sign him.

The Jets signed Cook to a two-man tandem with Aaron Rodgers, but he didn’t get many carries. Cook asked for a trade when Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury, citing his limited role in the Jets offense. In the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns, he was not given any carries.

Cook was commended by Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy on Wednesday. Before the playoffs, he claimed, the Cowboys will “visit” the notion of adding Cook to their roster. McCarthy made these remarks the same day that Tony Pollard, the running back for the Cowboys, admitted he hadn’t lived up to his expectations for the season.
