Micah Parsons brutal message on building Cowboys legacy will fire up fans

Micheal Parsons, a star linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, is aware that winning games in September is not the key to inducting a player into the team’s hall of fame.

“The standard season is adorable. However, Parsons told reporters, “This is legacy,” as reported by Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Parsons and his colleagues are well aware of the success those teams had in the 1990s and the star power the Cowboys used. This Cowboys team understands that they can’t become part of the inner circle unless they have significant postseason success, like winning Super Bowl trophies.

Cowboys crave playoff success

Parsons was saying following his Cowboys’ 38-10 victory in Week 18 over the Washington Commanders. With the victory, America’s Team secured the NFC East title and guaranteed a spot as the NFC’s second seed. Next Sunday, the Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers.

Apart from the attention that comes with being a member of the Cowboys, Parsons and the rest of the team will be under pressure come playoff time.

Under head coach Mike McCarthy, the club has successfully completed its third consecutive 12-5 season. However, the outcomes of the first two were disappointing.

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the 2021 Cowboys in the wildcard round. The Cowboys defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs the following season. But the 49ers again put an end to their season in the divisional round.

Success during the regular season has been consistent lately. But Parsons and his teammates will only be tier-two in Dallas until another Super Bowl trophy finds its way to Jerry World.
