"People might say, 'Oh, he played well for a bit,' but this is about legacy. There's a saying, be phenomenal, or be forgotten, you know?

After dominating the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys secured their third consecutive 12-win season, clinching the NFC East and securing the second seed in the conference.

Yet, the real journey for Dallas is just starting. Despite strong regular seasons, the Cowboys have struggled in the playoffs. Their aim is to silence critics who point to their 28-year Super Bowl drought.

This postseason marks a defining moment for the current core of the Cowboys, offering an opportunity to etch their names in franchise history. Following Sunday’s game, star linebacker Micah Parsons delivered a heartfelt message as they approach a make-or-break postseason.

“Regular season’s nice,” Parsons expressed. “People might say, ‘Oh, he played well for a bit,’ but this is about legacy. There’s a saying, be phenomenal, or be forgotten, you know?

“So, the way Jimmy (Johnson) and (Michael Irvin) are celebrated, that’s where I envision Charles (Haley). I believe that’s where I, along with CeeDee (Lamb), Dak (Prescott), all aim to be—part of that legacy and earn our place in the Cowboys Hall of Fame.” (Specifically, the Ring of Honor.)

For both longtime and new Cowboys fans, Parsons’ message resonates. With limited playoff success in the past three decades, hearing such confidence from their star defensive player, fresh from a remarkable regular season, boosts team morale.
