Matthew Stafford’s return to the field is one of the most talked-about stories this week leading up to the Detroit Lions’ Wild Card playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Given that the Rams are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, the 35-year-old signal-caller expressed excitement about the chance to play at Ford Field this week.

Much of the fan base has been debating how to react to the veteran’s return all week, knowing that his primary goal is to keep the Lions out of the playoffs.

Stafford’s time at Motown caused controversy. While some admirers applauded his tenacious spirit, others were perpetually frustrated that his stint in Detroit did not result in postseason victories.

A local Detroit sportswear brand has loudly said on social media that they do not support the starting quarterback for the Rams at this time.

“We ask that you not show up to the game wearing a Lions-Stafford jersey. Being adorable or humorous right now is inappropriate, The DLine wrote on social media. “Business-wise, this is about driving the last nail in the coffin of SOL. It’s not intimate. Just business.

Kelly Stafford, who has never been afraid to voice her thoughts on social media, expressed her disgust that some Lions fans did not want to cheer for her husband.

The well-known podcast host retorted, saying, “Well, this is unfortunate because it totally contradicts our feelings about this place, but Matthew has always been and always will be the greater guy. I’m hoping for a fantastic game with no injuries.”
