Linebacker Fred Warner is among the San Francisco 49ers players who are certain that their club, the No. 1 seed in the NFC, will be the last one standing come February.

According to 49ers WebZone’s Stephanie Sanchez, Warner assertively stated, “Like this isn’t about you, this is about the team and I truly believe in the men in this building,” during the most recent episode of “The Warner House” podcast. “We’re gonna get it done.”

Dual-purpose offensive tool Deebo When Samuel declared recently that he believes the current 49ers are superior to the 2019 team that was defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV, it caused a stir. San Francisco leads the NFC going into the postseason tournament, averaging 398.4 offensive yards per contest, according to ESPN statistics. Additionally, the 49ers are sixth in the league overall in terms of total defense (303.9 yards given up per game).

Warner said on the show, “We aced the season but the goal is that trophy at the end.” “The idea that we have a few games remaining, and if we take care of business, it’s like, how can you not sell out? How are you not able to live each day as if it were your final? We’ve been thinking like that since training camp, but right now we really are. Indeed, a new season has begun. You must genuinely recommit, refocus, and offer yourself entirely to the goal we have set for yourself.”

Warner’s assessment that the 49ers “aced the season” is intriguing given that the team’s humiliating 33-19 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas night all but ensured that San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy would not be named the league’s Most Valuable Player. Having said that, the 49ers were posted as the betting favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII at +220 odds over the Ravens (+310) by DraftKings Sportsbook late on Wednesday morning.

Warner and Samuel have communicated, if nothing else, that 49ers players have adopted a “Super Bowl or bust” mindset after Week 18.
