When the Rams and Lions play in the Wild Card game on Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, Matthew Stafford won’t be the only quarterback looking forward to a nostalgic reunion.

After being traded to Detroit in exchange for Stafford in 2021, Lions quarterback Jared Goff is only making his return to his old team for the second time. The Lions are playing their first home playoff game in thirty years, and it’s Goff’s first game as the Rams’ host.

Before the Rams vs. Lions game, Donald was questioned on Goff. On Thursday, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year informed reporters that he had gotten in touch with Goff to express his admiration for the former quarterback.

Goff and Donald were teammates for five seasons with the Rams, including a 2018 Super Bowl run.

Some supporters, though, asserted that Donald might merely be manipulating Goff in order to soften him up before Wild Card Weekend.

There will undoubtedly be love shared on the field despite the close relationship between the two Pro Bowl players.

The Lions’ most recent meeting with the Rams ended in a 28-17 loss in October 2021. The Lions finished the season with a 0-7 record after losing to the eventual Super Bowl victors.

On Sunday, the Rams and Lions will play one other again in a very different situation.
