The Detroit Lions return to the NFL playoffs for the first time since facing the Los Angeles Rams during Super Wild Card Weekend in 2016. Given its rich history, it is probably one of the most interesting wild games. First, we can’t ignore what the Lions (12 wins, 5 losses) have accomplished this season.

It was their first division title and last playoff appearance since 1993. But they lost that year, so they’ll be hoping to do well. The last playoff win at home was in the 1991 playoffs.

That sets up the Rams (10-7) for a hostile environment they haven’t seen until Sunday night. Motor City is definitely joining the party. Not only do they get emotional, but they also make the other person more nervous.

Of course, the Rams want to acquire quarterback Matthew Stafford, who spent most of his career in Detroit before being traded to Los Angeles, and Goff will be sent to the Lions as part of the quarterback trade. The Rams won the Super Bowl and the Lions are looking for a playoff win. Can I have it on Sunday evening? Can they stop a Rams team that has won four straight and seven of its last eight games? Let’s take a look at the Lions’ bold predictions for Super Wild Card Weekend.

There will be a shootout between Lions and rams.

Many expect this to be the most exciting game of Super Wild Card Weekend. It certainly has every chance of doing so. According to Fox Sports, the top 10 teams in offensive efficiency are the Lions, who average 27.1 per game, and the Rams, who average 23.8 per game. They are also neck and neck in red zone offense, with the Lions at 64.1 percent and the Rams at 63.6 percent, fourth and fifth. You don’t have to worry about the weather at Dome Ford Field. I hope for more points.

The Rams lost to Amon-Ra St. Can’t stop Brown: Brown has been one of the best players in the league this year. He ranks third in receiving and receiving yards, second in yards after the catch and fifth in touchdown receptions.

The question is how much they will miss Sam La Porta, who missed last week’s regular season finale with an ankle injury. Will the Rams’ entire defensive focus shift to Brown? That could happen, but Brown has proven all year that he can be productive, rushing for at least 21 yards per game and scoring in all but six games this season. The Rams are a great fit with Brown.

Let me be clear: this will be a game Jared Goff remembers. The Rams defeated them 28-19 in their last meeting in 2021 when the Lions visited SoFi Stadium. According to StatMuse, Goff has a 70.1 passer rating and has 268 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the game. He will play much better on Sunday night. The problem with Goff is that he can threaten and make mistakes in big moments. It’s easy to believe that Goff will have Detroit fans on the edge of their seats and crying on Sunday.

The Rams beat the Lions in Detroit:

While the Rams are in good shape right now, Detroit may still be in the wrong place after their controversial loss to the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks ago. This Lions team is a tough team to play against, especially at home, but there’s always a bad thing or two that happens during Wild Card Weekend. This will be one of them.
