Arriving in DFW for Sunday’s NFL playoff game, the Green Bay Packers checked into their local hotel around 3:15 p.m. as the temperatures in North Texas began to dip.

Standout wide receiver Jordan Alexander is traveling, but his status is categorized as “questionable” due to an ankle injury he sustained during practice this week, which the Packers are referring to as a “freak injury.”

In preparation for their playoff matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay is boosting their insurance.

David Long Jr., a cornerback, has been promoted by the Packers from their practice squad to the starting lineup. Long has played for three different teams already this season, so he is somewhat of a journeyman, but the Packers could need some reinforcements if they want to stick with Dallas WR CeeDee Lamb and company.

Long actually two starts during the season. However, Alexander? In two of the previous four seasons, he has made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams; yet, he has also earned a reputation as a knucklehead. This year, he missed some time due to suspension in addition to injuries.

Against the Cowboys, who have won 16 straight games at AT&T Stadium, the Packers are 7-point underdogs.
