On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys meet the Packers in the opening round of the playoffs. Dallas’ final two weeks of the regular season could not have gone better, as they climbed to the No. 2 spot following division foe Philadelphia’s spectacular late-season collapse, which saw them lose to the Cardinals and Giants.

Thus, unless they advance further than they have since the 1995 season—the NFC Championship game—the Cowboys won’t need to travel during the postseason. That also means Dallas has a chance to extend its 16-game home winning streak at AT&T Stadium.

“On our end, it starts off with us taking care of this one,” Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said. We can discuss the opportunity, this, and that, but this game offers the chance right now. If I didn’t state that it’s today, the remainder of these meetings, and our strategy, I would be getting ahead of myself.

Dallas has finished 12-5 and made it to the postseason for the third consecutive season. This is also the second time in the last three seasons that the Cowboys have won the NFC East. Dallas hasn’t made three straight postseason appearances since a run of six straight from 1991 to 1996, which featured three Super Bowl championships.

Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who set club records with an NFL-best 135 catches for 1,749 yards, stated, “Experience is everything.” “I think a lot of the guys have been with the team for a while, and we all experienced similar wounds, so we’re not trying to feel that way again.”

LBs Malik Jefferson and Buddy Johnson were promoted by the Cowboys on Saturday from the practice squad.

Jefferson’s health is uncertain for the match. QB Cooper Rush (illness) was still listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game and did not participate in Saturday’s practice. … thus, Trey Lance needs to be prepared to start at quarterback.

Since defeating the Steelers 31–25 in Super Bowl XLV at AT&T Stadium, the young Packers have advanced to the playoffs ten times, but this is the first time they have done it with Jordan Love starting as quarterback. After Aaron Rodgers was dealt to the Jets, Love took his spot.

Green Bay went 6-2 and secured the NFC’s last seed in the playoffs because to Love’s 18 touchdown passes and just one interception over the team’s final eight games.
