One of the best regular seasons in Dallas Cowboys history was enjoyed by the team.

Beyond the outcomes, they had a strong and talented group on both sides of the ball, and they had a history of success versus weaker opponents.

To make matters worse, they had been winning 16 straight games at home. That’s why it was hard to imagine they could lose like they did against the Green Bay Packers.

Legendary team member Michael Irvin criticized the players and the organization on Twitter after the defeat.

He stated how important it was to him as a player to understand that others had established the franchise before him and how, unlike this squad, he needed to contribute to that process.

“It was my responsibility to equal what they had done while I was here. They constructed it. They gave it to me. Irvin uttered, “Put my d*** championship on the table.”

When they most needed it, he called them out for playing well elsewhere but not in their own city, and he demanded that heads roll.

Truth be told, this has become a trend in Arlington now.

Dak Prescott has proved that he’s not built for postseason football year after year.

However, Jerry Jones has been a factor in every postseason loss, so maybe it’s time he thought about assigning some tasks to others.

After repeatedly doing the same thing, one cannot expect different results. After so many postseason meltdowns, any other executive who wasn’t a team owner would have been fired years ago.

It remains to be seen if his position will enable him to recognize that.
