Terry Bradshaw addressed the Dallas Cowboys directly after the team’s devastating 48–32 loss to the Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday in the Wild Card stage of the playoffs.

The NFL on Fox crew discussed Dallas’ terrible showing during FOX’s postgame show. Bradshaw, an NFL personality on FOX, disclosed that he has a good friendship with Mike McCarthy, the head coach of the Cowboys. Bradshaw yet maintained his belief that the Cowboys had underachieved in spite of this.

“I have a genuine bond with Mike McCarthy. I’m not going to lie to you, America—I like him. I have a lot of fun with him. It hurts to say anything bad about him. On the other hand, three seasons of 12-5 would seem to be plenty. As he exited the field, 81-year-old Jerry Jones might have said to himself, “I need to change the head coach right now.” Does he behave like that? Since this football team hasn’t performed up to par, Bradshaw said

In an honest statement, Bradshaw said he thought the Cowboys had underperformed. It’s not just him.

Howie Long, a fellow FOX NFL commentator, made the same statement regarding Dallas.

You may be wondering why the detractors of the Cowboys always seem to be having a great time. It is the same story told every year. Another iteration is shown here. Long thinks this is a talented but underachieving football club.

McCarthy coached the Cowboys for four seasons. After ending 6-10 in his first season, they have gone 12-5 the past three years. In the 2021 playoffs, they were upset by San Francisco in the Wild Card round. They annihilated the Bucs in the Wild Card round in 2022 before losing to the 49ers in the Divisional Round. This year, they lost in the Wild Card round as well.

Going 12-5 three seasons in a row and missing the postseason Divisional Round is equally frustrating and disheartening. Furthermore, according to Bradshaw and Long, Dallas is underperforming.
