Buffalo Bills defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith will be a legend in the Bills’ next divisional round game on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Smith spent the first 15 years of his 19-year career in Buffalo, where he was an eight-time First Team AP All-Pro selection and 11-time Pro Bowler. With 200 career sacks, Smith is the NFL’s all-time sack leader and one of the best players on the field.

Smith played college football at Virginia Tech and won the Outland Trophy his senior season. He was selected first overall by Buffalo in the 1985 draft and had a great start to his career.

At Buffalo, Smith participated in four consecutive AFC championships. Smith has started all but four of his 217 games in blue and red. Smith capped his four-season career with Washington by surpassing Reggie White’s then-NFL record of 198 sacks in 2003.

LSmith currently lives in Virginia Beach and works as a large-scale hotel designer. He also works with Bills teammate Thurman Thomas at Legends Energy Group, an energy company that specializes in installing solar panels.
